Washington, D.C., May 28, 2025 —
The National Academy of Engineering (NAE), in collaboration with the USC Viterbi School of Engineering, is proud to announce that The Circuit—its flagship video series highlighting breakthroughs in engineering and the innovators behind them—has won four Telly Awards in 2025. This includes a Silver Telly Award for the overall series in the Education category, the show’s most prestigious honor to date.

The Telly Awards honor excellence in video and television across all screens and receive over 13,000 entries annually from six continents and all 50 U.S. states. Winners are selected by a global panel of industry experts and creative professionals.

In addition to the Silver for the full series, The Circuit earned three awards for its “Detecting Dark Matter” episode:
  • Silver Telly Award – Voiceover & Narration (Omar Lewis, Host)
  • Silver Telly Award – Social Video
  • Bronze Telly Award – Editing (Jason Lee, Editor)
These latest accolades bring the series’ total to seven major awards in the past year, including the 2024 YouTube Silver Creator Award and two Gold Muse Creative Awards in 2025 for Best Educational Videos.

“We’re thrilled to see The Circuit recognized at this level,” said Jowan Carbin, Creative Producer. “It’s a testament to the talent, dedication, and vision of our entire creative team, and to the NAE’s commitment to making engineering engaging and accessible to new audiences.”
